Images of Manchester United's new adidas away shirt for next season have emerged.

United won' be able to unveil the kit until after 31 July however, as Nike's current deal with the club ends then.

This means that United will have to got through their pre-season tour of America still sporting their old Nike kit from last season.

Meanwhile, Victor Valdes has hit back at United manager Louis van Gaal after the Dutchman launched a scathing attack on the goalkeeper for allegedly refusing to play for the reserves last season.

Van Gaal has put Valdes up for sale after insisting that he does not fit the “philosophy” that he has implemented at United. His reasoning behind the decision was that Valdes apparently refused to play for the Under-21 side when he was playing second fiddle to No 1 goalkeeper David De Gea.

Valdes eventually made his first-team debut in the penultimate game of the season, when he came off the bench after De Gea picked up an injury during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal, and he would start the final match in the 0-0 draw with Hull.

However, after Van Gaal revealed that Valdes would be sold during a press conference in the United States where United are on tour, Valdes has taken to his Twitter account to question Van Gaal’s words.

Valdes posted the images of three Under-21 games that he played in last season against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham – as well as a picture of himself and members of the reserve side including Anderson, Jesse Lingard, Joel Castro Pereira, Andreas Pereira and Ashley Fletcher – along with a question mark and the hash-tag ‘respect’.
