Radamel Falcao heads Manchester United's injury list as Louis van Gaal prepares his team to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium a week on Saturday.

Falcao, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Rafael are all currently struggling with injuries, and Van Gaal says that he does not expect any of them to feature against the Gunners after the international break.

The Colombia forward Falcao's injury-hit start to his United loan spell continues. He is sidelined with a calf problem.

Asked if any of those four players might return, Van Gaal said: "No, I don’t think so because now some of them have already not played for five, six, seven weeks.

"They could sit on the bench because they can play 20 minutes but I cannot put a lot of players who are not 100% fit on the bench.

"You saw what happened with [Paddy] McNair [getting cramp against Crystal Palace] because the rhythm of the game is very high in the Premier League."
