Manchester United take on Newcastle this weekend looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.

On the opening day, Louis van Gaal's side beat Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford before then defeating Aston Villa by the same scoreline last Friday.

Despite two wins from two, United are yet to genuinely impress - something they'll hope to rectify in this early kick-off on Saturday.

The presence of Bastian Schweinsteiger, the summer signing from Bayern Munich, from the start of the match could help. Former midfielder Paul Scholes said in midweek that he had "no idea" why the World Cup winner wasn't in the starting XI. Van Gaal has spoken about the possibility in the build-up to the match.

Here, we take a look at those who could be absent this weekend.
