Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford recently revealed that Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny is the toughest opponent he has ever faced.

The youngster made his first Premier League appearance against Arsenal, after debuting in the club’s 5-1 victory against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League last February.

When asked the toughest player he’s come up against in an interview with MUTV, Rashford said: “Laurent Koscielny at Arsenal.

“He was a difficult defender to play against.”

The Frenchman must have left a lasting impression as the two have only met once on the pitch.

Rashford got the better of the centre-back, though, scoring two first-half goals to help fire United to a 3-2 victory over their bitter rivals.

His performance that day helped further cement his name as one of United’s up-and-coming young stars.

Rashford has grown from strength to strength since last February, featuring for both United and England throughout the past year.

After being overlooked by manager Jose Mourinho at the start of the 2016/17 season, the 18-year-old has fought back into the side’s starting XI.

The striker was also probed about his ambitions as a footballer in the same interview.

When asked about his goals in life, Rashford replied: “Win the Champions League with United, that would be mint.”
