Manchester United news: Luke Shaw credits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with bringing the ‘buzz’ back to Old Trafford
United have won all of their games since Solskjaer was placed in temporary charge
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has said that a “buzz” has returned to the club since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was placed in caretaker charge.
Former United forward Solskjaer was handed the job until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho on December 18.
Shaw had an infamously tempestuous relationship with Mourinho and was left out of his starting XI for the final four matches of his reign.
And the 23-year-old has credited Solskjaer for helping to raise the mood of the club in the days since his appointment.
“Ole has a completely different style to his way and we are adapting to that and enjoying it and that's the main thing.” Shaw said in an interview with Sky Sports.
“There's a great buzz around the place with Ole coming back in, there's a lot of good things to look forward to.
“Ole is a really positive and friendly guy and knows this club really well as he was here for many years and he knows what the club needs. He is here for six months and it's a massive thing for him to do an amazing job and that would be great for him.
“We all back him and want the best for him as much as he wants the best for us. We all have to work together and keep doing the right things and keep smiles on faces and keep winning matches.”
Manchester United travel to Newcastle this evening hoping to make it four wins out of four under the Norwegian.
