A fantastic game by Manchester United and a top-notch performance by goalkeeper David De Gea led to an incredible 3-0 win against rivals Liverpool.

Louis van Gaal’s side started very confidently with surprise addition James Wilson up front.

Just 12 minutes after kick off Wayne Rooney put United on the lead and had Liverpool chasing with Raheem Sterling surprisingly up front.

Five minutes before the break, Juan Mata made it two for the home team although he was in an obvious off side position.

Brendan Rodgers was unlucky during first half as Glen Johnson limped out with an injury and decided to enhance his attack with the returning Mario Balotelli.

The Italy international had many chances on goal but was denied repeatedly by De Gea.

Ultimately, on 71 minutes, Robin van Persie made it three and sealed a fantastic win for his side at Old Trafford.
