Juan Mata has come in for Jesse Lingard in the only change made by United manager Louis van Gaal from the 1-1 Champions League draw with CSKA Moscow for today's Manchester derby against Manchester City.

Dutch forward Memphis Depay has again been dropped to the bench.

Ahead of the match, United manager Van Gaal said: "We have one day less [than Manchester City] to prepare so it's more difficult. When you look at the facts they are first [in the league] so they are favourites, I think.

"I think for the fans it's very emotional. I live in a little village and there it is also the talk of the town. I think in Manchester it is more.
