Former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has made himself available in the job market with reports linking him with Liverpool.

Mancini has been connected with various vacancies, including Notts County, since his departure from the Milanese giants, but has only now become available after settling his contract dispute with the Nerazzurri.

The Italian had been receiving full pay from Inter ever since he was pushed out the door to be replaced by Jose Mourinho, but has now accepted a pay-off, thought to be in the region of £7m-£10m.

In effect it now allows the highly rated manager to take up a new post elsewhere and with the pressure mounting on Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, he has inevitably been linked with Anfield.

Reports in Spain also suggest he's a potential candidate to take over at Real Madrid, where Chilean Manuel Pellegrini is also under pressure after a couple of disappointing results despite huge investment.
