Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has admitted he wanted to "carry on" against Blackburn Rovers - despite being knocked unconscious and needing treatment on the pitch for nine minutes .
The Slovakian centre-back had to be carried off on a stretcher at Anfield in a game where Brendan Rodgers' Reds were held to a 0-0 draw by their Championship opposition.
Skrtel fell awkwardly and was later revealed to have lost consciousness, and although team-mates and supporters looked concerned, Skrtel was able to put both thumbs up as he lay on the stretcher.

Pictured on a plane with wife Barbara and son Matteo, Skrtel revealed he was heading for a break to Monte Carlo and that everything was fine.

The FA Cup draw takes place tonight with the replay expected to be played on either 8 or 9 April. Liverpool next play next Monday, when they travel to Swansea in the Premier League,
