Newcastle have unveiled their new kit for the 2015/16 season - only in their haste to unveil the new strip, a rather big error has been made.

The Puma made strip features the traditional black and white stripes of the club with blue trim around the collar and arms. So far, so good.

But when it comes to the controversial sponsor Wonga, things go wrong.

Just hours before Newcastle launched the kit, which they will wear during their final game of the season at home to West Ham, Wonga themselves unveiled a new logo. The change by the money lending company meant there was no time for the new branding to feature on the kit and with thousands of replica shirts already made, the new Newcastle shirts will have to carry the old branding.

A spokesperson for Wonga explained the error to Chronical Live: “It was due to the production schedule.”

Newcastle could be wearing the kit in either the Premier League or Championship with their safety not yet assured as they head into the final day of the season. The strip will be available to buy from Thursday.
