Petr Cech snubbed Arsenal player to pick a former Chelsea team-mate for Ballon d'Or
The goalkeeper selected Eden Hazard among his three picks for the Fifa Ballon d'Or
Petr Cech might now be a Gooner, as Arsenal supporters relish reminding Chelsea fans, but that didn't stop the goalkeeper from snubbing one of his new team-mates to pick a Blues player among his Ballon d'Or selections.
The Czech Republic international picked eventual winner Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski and former Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard. The Belgian international, who won every player of the season accolade going for helping Chelsea on their way to the title, was Cech's third choice.
It meant Cech snubbed Arsenal team-mate Alexis Sanchez, despite 24 other voters selecting the forward. The Chile international, who helped his nation to the Copa America title over the summer, was the only Arsenal player among the 23 nominees from which voters could pick.
But despite now playing alongside Sanchez, Cech deemed Hazard the better player in 2015.
Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic also picked Hazard, naming his team-mate alongside Messi and Neymar.
