All 20 clubs have now unveiled their official home strip for the new season

During his unveiling as Chelsea's new manager, Antonio Conte called himself a ‘tailor’ and spoke of finding the ‘best dress’ for his new team.

It was a cute bit of imagery, particularly from someone speaking in their second language, but does a club’s strip make a tangible, significant difference?

No. No, it doesn’t. There’s your answer.

Yet with just under a month until the new Premier League season starts, there’s little football around and our short attention spans have drawn us toward the release of new kits.

Every Premier League club has now unveiled what they will be wearing once the curtain falls in August and there are a few interesting sartorial choices.

Everton's number is particularly fetching - a minimal yet effective design by standard-bearers Umbro.

Across Stanley Park, Liverpool's effort is just as pleasing on the eye. New Balance, who took over from subsidiary Warrior last season, continue their streak of form but the less said about the change strips, the better.

Manchester United and Chelsea's Adidas designs are plain but not repugnant, while Arsenal's keeps the traditional design while adding a welcome dash of dark blue.

Manchester City's, however, is not the pick of the litter. In fact, it's probably the worst in show.
