Adidas pays £75million annually to have their three stripes on Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to be in negotiations with American rivals Nike over a £30m-a-year deal.
All told, sportswear companies and sponsors pay almost half a billion pounds to have their logos emblazoned on football kits in front of a global audience.
Fans get excited by new kits, some of which are likely to be debuted before the end of this season as a tease to get supporters to fork out on next season's look.

So far all are unconfirmed, but some are expected to be very close to the mark when they are released in the summer.
