About the fixture...

West Brom enjoyed a great season under Steve Clarke last season, a real highlight being the league double they managed over Liverpool.

This season has not started as amazingly as last, but they have already bested Manchester United at Old Trafford and are in fact unbeaten in their last five.

Liverpool are flying high at the moment, having lost just one of their last 16 league games and with the much-vaunted partnership of Sturridge and Suarez up front their is much optimism amongst their fans.

Can they mount a serious title challenge this year or is it just the desperate hope of fans starved of success and clinging to former glory?
