Robin van Persie has enraged Manchester United fans by showing his support for fierce rivals Manchester City - he was however, just congratulating the team that his son Shaqueel plays for.
The picture was from the Dutchman's own tournament in Maassluis in his native Holland this weekend, titled the 'Robin van Persie International Tournament'.
Van Persie started the tournament to raise money for Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam.
There were 14 teams involved, including Chelsea, Tottenham and City. Darren Fletcher, who now plays for West Brom after leaving United in the last transfer window, also watched his son in action for City.
Van Persie, who scored only 10 Premier League goals for the club this season in an injury-hit campaign, posted on on Twitter yesterday, alongside a picture of the City team celebrating:
"Very proud of you lads. Man City u9 well done!"
The 31-year-old Dutchman's tweet was then met with much anger from the United faithful.
One supporter simply wrote: "What the f***!?"
Another wrote: "We hate City."
One asked him to delete it.
