Swansea City confirmed yesterday that manager Brendan Rodgers has signed a new and improved contract.

The 39-year-old Northern Irishman has been on a rolling 12-month deal at the Liberty Stadium. With a new three-and-a-half year contract concluded, Rodgers said: "I'm delighted to sign the new deal. I hope the club and supporters feel it is still a good fit for everyone. I can only promise that I will continue to fight for the club to help us become a sustainable Premier League club."
