Louis van Gaal has said he "expects" Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs to take over as manager when he leaves.
Giggs currently serves as assistant to the Dutchman after taking charge of four games at the end of last season after David Moyes was sacked.
The Welshman, 41, won two, drew one and lost one of those matches at the end of last season.

Show all 12Speaking on Friday, Vaan Gaal, whose contract is up in 2017, sees Giggs as the perfect replacement.
"I expect that he [Giggs] will be the next manager after I am gone," said Van Gaal, whose contract expires in 2017.
"Now I have the responsibility. He has tasks that he has to perform like the players. What he has to do, for me, he does it very well."
Giggs played more matches for Manchester United than any other player, finishing his career last season having made 963 appearances.
During a 23-year career with United, Giggs won 13 Premier League trophies, the FA Cup four times, two European Cups, the League Cup three times and a Club World Cup.
Giggs was also named in the PFA Team of the Year six times.
