Sergio Aguero injury latest: Manchester City striker could return against Arsenal
Argentina international provides fitness update
Sergio Aguero has provided an update on his fitness and with it offered hope he could return for Manchester City as soon as their match against Arsenal later this month.
The Argentina international sustained a knee injury in the 1-0 win over Everton at the start of December, curtailing a free-scoring run that had seen him score eight goals in as many games prior to the victory over the Toffees.
There were initial fears that he could face a lengthy absence, however he appears to be nearing a return.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed on New Year's Day that the striker was about to return to training, something which according to Ageuro's update on Twitter he has now done.
Manchester City's game against Everton this weekend looks to be coming too soon, but the match against Arsenal on January 18 could be the "right moment" for Aguero to return to action.
