The Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, 19, has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the year.

The former Charlton midfielder – who joined the Anfield club in April 2010 in a deal worth £1.7m – will go straight into manager Ian Holloway's squad to face Bristol City at Bloomfield Road today.
