Spurs hopeful riots will not stop match

Tottenham are working to make sure that Saturday's Premier League opener against Everton can go ahead after a weekend of rioting and looting in the area surrounding their ground.

The damage at White Hart Lane was limited to a ticket office, which remains closed. But Tottenham announced that stadium tours have been cancelled for "safety reasons" while the area's main shopping street remains cordoned off.
