Few football incidents in 2015 passed without a related meme.

Whether it was Steven Gerrard being sent off a few seconds after coming on against Manchester United or Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating his Ballon d'Or win, jokers on Twitter were quick to react.

So here, we take a look at some of the funniest of the year.

Among the incidents making the cut are Radamel Falcao missing and Diego Costa stamping, then there was David De Gea's failed transfer to Real Madrid and Wayne Rooney's knock-out year. We've also found room for Justin Bieber and Heathrow Airport trolling Arsenal fans on #DeadlineDay.
