Steven Gerrard to Liverpool: Former Reds captain confirms he will train with club 'next week'
The 35-year-old is currently contracted to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy

Steven Gerrard has confirmed that he will begin training with his former club Liverpool next week, as exclusively revealed by The Independent earlier this month.
Speaking on BT Sport’s Champions League coverage last night, the LA Galaxy midfielder said he was relishing the prospect of working under new Reds manager Jürgen Klopp, even if it is on a non-playing basis.
When asked whether the story of his return was correct by host Gary Lineker, Gerrard confirmed: “Yeah, next week. I’m going to go in for a couple of weeks and work with Mr Klopp so I’m really looking forward to that, to see what he’s about and try and learn a few things off him.”

Gerrard left Liverpool at the end of last season following a 17-year spell with the club, during which he captained them to a famous Champions League triumph in 2005.
The 35-year-old met Klopp after his return to Merseyside recently and the pair discussed the possibility of Gerrard training at Melwood during Major League Soccer’s close season.
