Stoke City are reported to have rejected a bid of £3m for striker Kenwyne Jones from Premier League rivals Swansea City.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is believed to view Jones as an ideal replacement for Danny Graham, with Sunderland making a formal offer for the player today.

Jones cost Stoke £8m in August 2010 and despite scoring four goals in the Potters' last eight games, has failed to live up to his price tag since joining from Sunderland.

Stoke are likely to hold out for more than £3m for the 28-year-old, who has 18 months remaining on his contract.
