Manchester City can go three points clear for a few hours at least with a victory at Stoke in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off in the Premier League, but they will have to do so without a number of key players ruled out through injury.

• Yaya Toure unavailable due to a muscular strain

• Vincent Kompany and Pablo Zabaleta remain on the injury list
