Manchester United's FA Cup sixth-round visit to Southampton will be played on Saturday 12 March with a 5.15pm kick-off.

In the wake of the trouble that flared inside and outside Goodison Park during United's fifth-round victory at Everton, the Football Association chief executive, Brian Barwick, said he would review tea-time kick-offs. But, after discussions between the FA, Hampshire Police, the BBC and officials from both clubs, it has been decided to sanction the later kick-off for live television coverage.

Meanwhile, United have been warned that any fans wearing Eric Cantona masks at Selhurst Park during Saturday's Premiership game against Crystal Palace will be ejected. It is a decade since Cantona launched his notorious kung-fu kick at a Palace fan.
