A young Swansea City mascot was left shellshocked as he stood next to Wayne Rooney in the tunnel ahead of Manchester United's Premier League defeat at the Liberty Stadium (watch video below).

The moment occurred just before the two teams went out for the game.

It turned out to be a game to forget for Rooney, however. Yet again the striker failed to score in the Premier League, and appeared well off the pace.

Rooney has now failed to score in 10 Premier League games, since netting in United's 3-1 win over Aston Villa in April.

Juan Mata put United ahead in the 49th minute with a far-post finish from close range but Louis van Gaal's team have now been beaten 2-1 three straight times by Swansea in the league.
