West Ham make one change to the side that drew 1-1 with Chelsea before the international break as striker Emmanuel Emenike returns to the starting line-up in place of Enner Valencia, who drops to the substitutes’ bench.

The Hammers can break into the top four if they better Manchester City’s result on Saturday afternoon, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side travelling to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth.

West Ham will be facing a Crystal Palace side desperately short on form and facing the very real prospect of a relegation scrap, with Alan Pardew’s side just two positions above the drop zone with a seven-point buffer to Sunderland in 18th.

Having not won in the Premier League in their last 13 attempts, Pardew is coming under increasing pressure to turn their fortunes around, and he makes two changes – both injury-enforced – to the side lost 1-0 to Leicester last time out.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Yohan Cabaye are unavailable, with Jason Puncheon and Bakary Sako coming into the starting line-up.

Teams

West Ham: Adrian; Antonio, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Lanzini, Noble, Kouyate, Payet; Emenike Sakho.

Subs: Randolph, Song, Tomkins, Carroll, Valencia, Obiang, Moses.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare; Zaha, Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley, Sako; Bolasie.

Subs: McCarthy, Mariappa, Kelly, Mutch, Lee, Gayle, Campbell.
