Leicester’s dropping of points to West Ham on Sunday opened the door for Tottenham in the Premier League title race.
Leonardo Ulloa’s injury-time penalty earned the Foxes a point that extended their lead over Spurs to eight points, although victory for the North London side at Stoke on Monday night would reduce that gap to five and give Maurico Pochettino’s side added belief that they can haul in a Leicester side who have been top since the middle of January.
The earliest Leicester can will the title is Monday 25 April – should Spurs lose at Stoke on Monday (remaining on 65 points) and Claudio Ranieri’s side beat Swansea next Sunday they would go 11 points clear (76 points), and a Spurs home defeat to West Brom the following evening would leave them unable to haul back the gap, with just three matches remaining.
Arsenal and Manchester City have smaller chances of winning the crown – both sides sit 13 points behind the leaders with five matches to play. Man City travel to Newcastle on Tuesday in their match in hand on Leicester, while Arsenal host West Bromwich Albion on Thursday.
Leicester also have Manchester United and Chelsea to visit either side of the visit of Everton to the King Power Stadium, while Spurs travel to Chelsea and Newcastle as well as hosting Southampton at White Hart Lane. Should all Leicester and Tottenham win all their remaining matches, the Foxes would be on course to lift the title in front of their own fans, against Everton in the late kick-off on Saturday 7 May.
