Agathe believes Celtic can claim four prizes
The celtic winger Didier Agathe believes the Scottish club can lift all four of the trophies they are chasing this season, after they booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Uefa Cup.
Didier helped set up his side for an all-British European battle with Liverpool next month with a 5-4 aggregate victory over VfB Stuttgart on Thursday.
Celtic, who are in the last eight of the Scottish Cup, also face a double-header with Rangers in the League Cup final and the Scottish Premier League to keep their quadruple dream alive. "Of course we can win the trophies," Agathe declared. "We play to beat everybody and win the competition."
Victories over Celta Vigo and Blackburn Rovers have proved Celtic's European pedigree. "It's good to play in the quarter-finals," Agathe added. "It's also good for Scottish football and our fans and the club. It gives the club a lot of prestige and Celtic and Scottish football deserve this."
But the Scottish champions had to endure a nervy finale in Germany, with Stuttgart scoring three times after goals from Alan Thompson and Chris Sutton had seemingly put Celtic in charge.
"There was a lack of concentration in the second half," Didier said. "We didn't know whether to attack or defend, but the most important thing is that we are through now to the quarter-finals and we should learn from this game."
