Defensive worry for Rangers

Rangers have concerns over three defenders for their trip to Hearts today. Craig Moore is definitely out, after damaging his hamstring during their CIS Insurance Cup semi-final win over Celtic on Tuesday. Lorenzo Amoruso will play despite having five stitches in a thigh wound in midweek, while Tony Vidmar (ankle) is doubtful.

Hearts will be without Alan Maybury. The defender should have completed his two-match suspension against Dunfermline, but Hearts played him in that match after the SFA forgot to inform the Edinburgh club he was not eligible. He completes his suspension today.

The Canadian defender Kevin McKenna will return to the side after playing for his country in the Gold Cup.

Meanwhile the Celtic pair Chris Sutton, out since Boxing Day with an ankle injury, and Didier Agathe, out since November with damaged knee ligaments, showed no reaction to their injuries after the midweek defeat by Rangers and are set to face Dunfermline at Parkhead.

Dunfermline will be without the injured trio of goalkeeper Marco Ruitenbeek, Ian Ferguson and the on-loan winger Sean Kilgannon.

Livingston have been boosted by the return of their French defender Philippe Brinquin from injury and he joins the squad to face Dundee United at Almondvale.
