The Dundee manager, Jim Duffy, has praised the defenders Lee Wilkie and Lee Mair for their performances in Wednesday's Uefa Cup 2-1 defeat by Perugia.

"I think Lee Wilkie and Lee Mair were immense," Duffy said. "If you look at the goals, the first was a bit of a fluke and the second we got caught a little bit on the break. Overall, I thought defensively we were superb."

Hearts put their first league defeat of the season - against Rangers last week - behind them with an impressive Uefa Cup win over Zeljeznicar on Wednesday with goals from Mark de Vries and Andy Webster.

But they face a tough return leg in Sarajevo in three weeks' time to deny the Bosnian side any hope of salvaging their own European adventure.
