Marcelo Bielsa’s side are seeking a top-half finish in their first campaign in the division since 2003/04, while the home team – having avoided relegation – are out to rise a couple of places in the standings before the season is over.
Both clubs are pursuing a third consecutive victory in the competition, with Leeds having comfortably defeated Burnley last time out after beating Tottenham, and Southampton having achieved wins against Crystal Palace and the relegated Fulham in their two most recent outings.
As such, Leeds are 10th in the table with two games remaining, while the Saints are 14th.
