With deadline day rumours circulating that Emmanuel Adebayor could be on his way to Loftus Road, some Queens Park Rangers fans might not be over the moon.

Adebayor is the ultimate hit-and-miss striker, with varied stints at Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham. Still, at least he's no Carl Haslam, a Sunday Leaue striker who may have won the award for the ultimate miss in football.

The video, shot by his brother Ashley on GrassRootsGoals, shows Haslam picking up the ball on the edge of the box after a fumble by the keeper. He is thus presented with an unobstructed route to an open goal.

However, instead of blasting the ball straight in, he decides to dribble it, showing some skill to round a defender and the returning keeper.

When the moment comes to simply tap the ball in from only a yard out, Haslam's Sunday League-nerves get the better of him, and he slices the ball wide.

One spectator can be heard shouting at the No 10 "hat-trick", so perhaps Haslam was dreaming of keeping the ball rather than actually placing it in the back of the net.
