Arsenal have made their first signing of the summer with the arrival of Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer.
The Gunners opened negotiations with him on Monday and they 23-year-old agreed to join, despite late interest from AC Milan, and will officially arrive at the club on July 1st.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international looked set to move to Goodison Park to join Ronald Koeman’s Everton after his contract expired at the Bundesliga side and was in advanced talks with the club’s officials.

However, Arsenal stole in for the highly-rated left-back by offering a greater salary than the Toffees could manage and he will compete with Nacho Monreal for a starting place at the Emirates Stadium.
Kolasinac, who has 23 international caps but represented Germany throughout youth football, is the second player in less than 12 months that Arsenal have pinched from underneath the noses of Everton, after Lucas Perez signed from Deportivo La Coruna last August for £17m.
