Granit Xhaka has a dream and, luckily for Arsenal fans, that dream is to play in the Premier League. Liverpool are also keen on the all-action Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, whose recent comments to torfabrik.de make a move to England seem likely.

"I have a childhood dream, and that is the Premier League," the 23-year-old said. "No matter if I play a second or 100 matches in England, I would one day love to fulfil that childhood dream."

If the Swiss international’s dreams are to be realised, his current club will have to be recompensed to tune of £37million.

Moving on, our old friends at Tuttomercatoweb suggest that Abel Hernandez is on Arsene Wenger’s radar, despite his disappointing performances for Hull City during their relegation season last year.

The Uruguayan international has been far more impressive for The Tigers in the Championship this term, netting 16 times in 26 appearances across all competitions.

With promotion still to play for, however, Hull will be reluctant to let go of their record signing.

The Sun claim that Arsenal have submitted an improved offer of £4million for Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell, who has also caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

The Gunners have already failed with a £3million offer and the Foxes hope to tie their starlet down with an improved contract.

The 19-year-old left-back recently returned from a loan spell at Huddersfield Town and has put in some confident first-team performances, though he is yet to start a Premier League game.

If Chilwell was to arrive, that would hasten Kieran Gibbs’ exit from the club, with Crystal Palace, Swansea City and Newcastle United all poised to take advantage if the England international becomes available.

Arsene Wenger has also ruled out a move for Javier Hernandez, despite reports linking the Bayer Leverkusen man with a move to north London.

"No," he said when asked if there was anything in the rumours, according to the Daily Star. "We have Welbeck coming back and Sanchez is back and we have an Giroud and Walcott.

"We have quality and the number of players we need."
