Arsenal are being linked with a move for Iker Casillas amid the goalkeeper's troubles at Real Madrid.
The World Cup winner, who has spent his entire career at the Bernabeu, found himself being booed by his own supporters during Real Madrid's 5-1 win over FC Basel on Tuesday night.
Casillas has found himself singled out by supporters amid a stuttering start to the team's season. Fans first vented their anger during Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to local rivals Atletico Madrid after Casillas was beaten at a corner by a Tiago header.
Having been pushed out of a regular starting berth by Diego Lopez, summer changes at the Bernabeu see Casillas now under pressure from Keylor Navas, who starred for Costa Rica at the World Cup. In contract, Casillas endured a shocking tournament in Brazil.
Whilst the 33-year-old retains the support of huge swathes of Real Madrid's support, speculation over a possible departure has returned.
Having been linked with a move away in the summer, it's now being reported that he could depart the Spanish capital in January. According to Le10sport, Arsenal are ready to make a move with Arsene Wenger keen for more experience in the goalkeeping department. The rumour comes despite Arsenal signing David Ospina over the summer to replace Lukasz Fabianski.
