Chelsea could resort to letting midfield duo Oscar and Ramires join Juventus in an attempt to sign French star Paul Pogba this summer, it is being reported.

The future of Pogba remains very much up in the air with interest coming from all areas of Europe. Premier League sides Arsenal, Manchester City and the Blues are all believed to be interested in the 21-year-old as well as his former club Manchester United, while Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be in the mix.

Paris St-Germain remain in the running to land the France international should he favour a return to his homeland, but The Telegraph reports that Chelsea are considering a player-exchange deal in order to beat their rivals to his signature.

With Pogba currently valued at £74m by his agent and any transfer having the potential to break the current world record set by Gareth Bale’s £86m move to Real Madrid, it’s not out of the question that offering players to Juventus could be a method utilised by more than one club in their offers for him.

The Italian league champions have reportedly shown interest in both Oscar and Ramires, and The Telegraph goes on to claim that they will launch a move for the Brazilian pair with the money they generate from any departure of Pogba regardless of if he joins Chelsea or another club. That does give Jose Mourinho’s side a bit of leverage in the race to sign Pogba though, should they offer up Oscar and Ramires during the initial negotiations.

That’s not to say that Juventus have given up hope of keeping Pogba in Turin. Club director and former Juventus star Pavel Nedved admitted earlier this week that Barcelona are showing definitive interest in Pogba, but that the Italian champions are not in a position where they are forced to sell.

“We know that Barca and other big clubs want him. But Pogba has a contract with us,” said Nedved.

The problem for Barcelona is that their transfer embargo runs until January next year after Fifa penalised them for financial irregularities in their move for Brazilian superstar Neymar.

Juventus have been looking at Oscar for some time, and have watched the 23-year-old in action for his country this season, along with his compatriot Ramires. Mourinho may well seek to shake things up in the summer if it means landing Pogba, as he has been far from impressed with Chelsea’s Champions League elimination in the last-16, while their relentless early season form dropped off after Christmas.

Atletico Madrid’s Koke remains an alternative option should the club fail to land Pogba, and the two clubs have strong connections given the transfers of Diego Costa and Filipe Luis last summer. Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is also a priority target having worked under Mourinho’s guidance during his time in Spain, and the interest in the Frenchman could lead to question marks surrounding the future of current centre-back Gary Cahill following his recent below-par performances.
