Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly trained with former club Anderlecht as rumours continue to spread about his future at Stamford Bridge.

According to Belgian broadcaster RTBF, the 21-year-old was given extra time to recover from the World Cup but has instead opted to train with his former employers.

Jose Mourinho's Blues squad, currently on a pre-season tour of Austria, are set to take on Werder Bremen in Germany next week.

Despite scoring fifteen goals while on loan at Everton last season, after hitting the net on seventeen occasions the year before with West Brom, Lukaku's place looks increasingly uncertain after Diego Costa's arrival from Atletico Madrid.

Officially due to return to training on 30th July, the Belgium international has been reflecting on a disappointing personal performance at the World Cup in Brazil.

With Everton and Liverpool keeping tabs on the Chelsea forward, Lukaku still has a number of options available to him, however, but is said to harbour aspirations of forcing his way into Mourinho's plans.
