New Everton boss Marco Silva targeting 'big name' transfers as he begins Goodison Park revolution
Quality, not quantity, appears to be the order of the day

New Everton boss Marco Silva has a short list of "big names" he'd like to bring to Goodison Park after being unveiled as the club's new manager.
Silva was presented alongside recently-hired sporting director Marcel Brands, who arrives from PSV Eindhoven with a reputation for talent-spotting and said he spent his entire first day as an Everton employee on the phone to agents.
Transfer business is clearly going to be key to the Everton rebuild with Brands admitting the squad was "too big" and that players would be leaving.
But when quizzed on the incomings, Brands confirmed he would never bring in a player without the agreement of the head coach and Silva himself revealed he has some star names in his sights.
"I have big names," he said.
"The list is not so big."
"We will do everything we can to improve. I like to see competition between players every day."
