Harry Kane to Manchester United; Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot reveals transfer request; Xabi Alonso to make Liverpool return
TRANSFER TALK: A look at some of today's most intriguring tittle-tattle

Manchester United have been linked with making a massive bid for Harry Kane in the summer. The Red Devils will, according to the Daily Star and various others, offer £50m to try and prise the England striker away from Tottenham. Kane has always suggested he is happy to remain at White Hart Lane, although Spurs will be wary that many of their best players have departed for Old Trafford.
Another player who has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford is Thomas Muller. Manchester United have been so keen to sign the World Cup winner that Bayern Munich even had to issue a request that United stop contacting them about his availability. While nearly all evidence has pointed to Muller happily remaining at his current club, TransfermarketWeb claim the 26-year-old could be 'tempted' by a switch.
Adrien Rabiot, who has been linked with Arsenal recently, has requested a loan move away from PSG. The 20-year-old midfielder revealed in an interview that he is frustrated at his lack of game time with the French champions. “I’ve asked the president for a loan move in January if my time on the field is insufficient. It’s something that he can’t refuse me - I know he likes me very much.” Rabiot has also been linked with Tottenham.
Xabi Alonso could be in line for a return - but to which club? Both Liverpool and Real Madrid are being linked with the Spain international whose contract at current club Bayern Munich will expire in the summer. That Rafa Benitez is currently at the Bernabeu could help sway the 34-year-old towards Spain.
Liverpool might have more luck signing Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato. The former AC Milan player is currently playing with Corinthians but reports suggest he is open to a return to Europe. Reports in Spain suggest Liverpool have begun negotiations to lure the 26-year-old to Anfield.
