Harry Kane to Manchester United: Ed Woodward ready to 'test Tottenham's resolve' over 31-goal striker

Manchester United are considering a move for Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, according to reports.

With the club now the first $1billion brand in football, United are ready to spend big as they try and reclaim their place at the top of the Premier League.

Back in the Champions League, Louis van Gaal's team are expected to spend big this summer as they try and mount a sustained title challenge.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United vice-chairman and transfer mogul Ed Woodward is getting ready to make a bid for the 21-year-old Kane.

The report states that a bid in excess of £50million is possible for Kane, who scored 31 goals in all competitions last season.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has previously said the north London club have no intention of selling Kane at any price, but United are hopeful that a big bid will tempt him.
