Hector Bellerin: PSG hopeful of signing Arsenal full-back for £30m
Bellerin, Arsenal's vice-captain, has three years remaining on his contract
Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of completing a £30m deal for Arsenal right-back and vice-captain Hector Bellerin.
The French champions have prioritised the signing of a right-back since the departure of Thomas Meunier to Borussia Dortmund, with Bellerin emerging as sporting director Leonardo’s first choice.
Bellerin, who still has almost three years remaining on his contract, has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich, although World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard has now returned from injury for the German champions.
The 25-year-old was not earmarked as a potential player for sale by Arsenal, however, the club are open to offers in order to raise funds for further incomings. Dani Ceballos is set to rejoin Arsenal on loan and the club still harbour hopes of triggering Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey’s €50m release clause.
In event of Bellerin’s departure, Arsenal would still have Ainsley Maitland-Niles - who now looks set to remain at the club – and Cedric Soares to call upon at right-back.
