Lazar Markovic's arrival at Liverpool is expected to be announced imminently, so who is the £20m Serbian winger?

Born in Yugoslavia in March 1994, Markovic began his professional career at FK Partizan in Serbia, who he had initially joined as a 12-year-old trainee. He was part of the side which won the Serbian top-flight three seasons in a row.

The rapid Markovic then joined Benfica last June, and yet again won the league - this time the Primeira Liga - meaning that in every season he has played he has won the league title.

The versatile Markovic can play either on the left wing or as up front on his own, and is expected to complete Brendan Rodgers post-Suarez attack alongside the central Rickie Lambert and Daniel Sturridge on the right.

The 20-year-old has won 12 caps for Serbia, scoring two goals.
