Liverpool have confirmed they have completed the sale of midfielder Anthony Le Tallec to Le Mans.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at the French club following loan spells with Le Havre, St Etienne, Sunderland and Sochaux.
The Frenchman arrived at Anfield in 2003 when Gerard Houllier brought him in alongside Florent Sinama-Pongolle, his team-mate in France's Under-17 World Cup-winning side.
Le Tallec only managed one goal for the Reds although he did play in the 2005 Champions League quarter-final against Juventus in 2005.
He has signed a four-year deal with Le Mans, with terms of the transfer undisclosed, and said: "I need stability, a sporting plan, and Le Mans give me this chance."
