Liverpool receive Nabil Fekir transfer blow as France star backs himself to earn big move on World Cup displays
The France playmaker is not thinking about a move before heading to Russia
Liverpool's pursuit of Nabil Fekir is set to be frustrated until after the World Cup, with the Lyon star determined to put on a show in Russia and increase the amount of options available to him.
Fekir is an in-demand player after several seasons of outstanding play for L'OL, with Champions League runners-up Liverpool the club showing the most interest.
But while the Reds were able to move quickly and decisively to secure the signing of Monaco utility man Fabinho, with the Brazilian signing on a long-term deal on Monday, their hopes of completing another swift coup were dented by Fekir himself, who told reporters after France's 2-0 win over Ireland that he wouldn't be moving anywhere until after the World Cup.

"Will Fabinho be my future team-mate? I will discuss my future after the World Cup not before," he said.
"If I will sign somewhere before the World Cup? Honestly, I don't know."
Fekir was asked about his future after Fabinho had told French radio that he wanted his former Ligue 1 opponent to join him at Anfield.
"He is a very good player, of international level," the Brazilian told RMC Sport.
"In Ligue 1, it is not only this season that he has demonstrated things. It's been a few years since he demonstrates his quality.
"If he comes, it will be good too."
