Emre Can rubbishes claims about his Liverpool future and insists he will not comment on ‘false reports’
Juventus are trying to persuade Can to move to Serie A next season
Emre Can has rubbish reports that claimed he demanded extortionate wages to remain at Liverpool FC and insisted he would no longer comment on any “false stories or rumours” about him.
The Germany midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has so far not committed his future to the Reds, with Juventus desperate to sign the 24-year-old.
Jurgen Klopp has left the door open for Can to commit to Liverpool even though under the Bosman ruling he is allowed to negotiate with other clubs outside of the Premier League.
There were reports suggesting that he would only remain at Liverpool if he was made their highest-paid player but Can took to social media to refute those claims.
“Interesting stories about me in the press,” Can wrote on Instagram. “I'm no longer going to comment on any false stories or rumours.
“I've just returned from international duty with the German team and working on coming back from injury. Looking forward to getting back on the pitch asap.”
