Liverpool are interested in Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to reports.
The cash-strapped Italian team are set to sell three of their key assets this summer - Paredes, Antonio Sanabria and Umar Sadiq.
The Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that the Reds have watched the 21-year-old on multiple occasions this season.
The Argentine has been on loan at Empoli this season, making 26 appearances in Serie A.
Paredes has yet to play a full international for Argentina, but has appeared for his country at Under-15 and Under-17 levels.
Jurgen Klopp is set to be given funds this summer to start building his own squad at Liverpool.
The Reds are currently in ninth place in the Premier League, seven points away from a Champions League place, and six points off a Europa League spot.
They could, of course, still qualify for the Europa League next season by winning the competition.
Liverpool are next in action after the international break, taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on 2 April.
