Swansea's Wilfried Bony has been linked with a move away from South Wales

Swansea manager Garry Monk has confirmed he has received "no offers" for Wilfried Bony, despite rumours linking the striker to Liverpool.

After the sale of Luis Suarez, Bony was one of the players linked with filling the void left by the Uruguayan.

Bony scored 25 goals in all competitions last season and was reported earlier this month to want a move away from Swansea. Liverpool and Tottenham were both linked with the player, but a £19m release clause was believed to be an obstavle.

However, reports then stated that the release clause did not have to be met for Bony to leave the club, with chairman Huw Jenkins saying he was available "for the right price".

This set the rumour mill into action with Liverpool said to be preparing another move for Bony, especially in the wake of Loic Remy's failed medical at Anfield.

Liverpool made a £12m bid in July, according to reports, and were expected to make an improved offer, but Monk said: "No offers have come into the club."

The lack of a move leaves Brendan Rodgers' squad looking light up front with Daniel Sturridge and Rickie Lambert the only recognised strikers.

Rodgers has also brought in Divock Origi, but he was sent back on loan to Lille, while Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic play on the wings.
