Luis Suarez on possible Liverpool return: 'You never know what might happen'
The 29-year-old left Anfield in 2014 and has since won La Liga, Copa del Rey, Super Cup and Champions League
Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has promised he will only sign for former club Liverpool if he returns to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old left Anfield in 2014 and has since won La Liga, Copa del Rey, Super Cup and Champions League with the Spanish giants.
Under Brendan Rodgers, Suarez almost fired the Reds to the title in his final year with the Merseyside club but the controversy which followed his altercation with Giorgio Chiellini ultimately proved the final straw.
But the Uruguayan international has lavished praise on his former employers and opened the door on a possible return.
He told ESPN: “You never know what might happen in the future, but if I were to return to England it would only be to play for Liverpool and never for another team.
“I’ve missed the fans. The atmosphere is incredible. Everyone that has played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know that they’re in my heart.”
Suarez is currently the top goal scorer in La Liga with 18 goals.
