Manchester United’s interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura is reportedly coming to a head.

According to the Mirror, Jose Mourinho is “stepping up efforts” to sign the 25-year-old, £25m-rated Brazilian winger before the month is out.

United’s main priority this January is a left-back but Mourinho is still in the market for a winger having missed out on Ivan Perisic last summer and Lucas may yet fit the bill.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suffered a season to forget so far at Old Trafford and his extended stay may well be cut short, report Yahoo Sport.

The Swedish striker briefly returned to first-team action in November after recovering from the knee ligament injury that almost ended his career.

However, Ibrahimovic has continued to struggle with the after-effects of such a setback and United are apparently planning to lose the 36-year-old to China or the United States in a mid-season move.

Meanwhile, after recently turning 17-years-old, Aliou Traoré has signed his first professional contract with United.

Traoré, who began training at Carrington after leaving Paris Saint-Germain during the summer, officially became a United youth player last month.

The midfielder has since made enough of an impression in Nicky Butt’s youth set-up to be offered professional terms.

Butt told United’s official website: “Aliou is a tremendously gifted young player and we are all delighted to see him sign his first professional contract at Manchester United.”
